The world of sport offers a variety of interesting and rewarding career opportunities and our Sport courses provide students with the opportunity to develop transferable skills for employment and further study in the sporting sector or further afield.

Whilst studying with us there are also plenty of opportunities to get involved and try out a range of sporting and enrichment activities or be a part of one of our sporting academies.

    If you like the idea of helping sportspeople of all abilities to improve their performance, whether in a specific sport or a variety, a career in coaching or teaching could be ideal for you.

    PE Teacher
    £16,250–£46,500
    Prepares lessons and teaching materials to encourage students of all abilities to participate and understand the benefits of physical activity.

    Multi-sport Coach
    £14,000–£35,000
    Plan and provide sports coaching within a designated area or institution, offering a wide range of sports to children of all ages.

    Sports Development Officer
    £21,000–£50,000
    Encourages all people to participate in sport and lead a healthy lifestyle. May also arrange funding for facilities and equipment, or manage community sporting events.

    Highly experienced sports coaches can earn as much as £50k per year.

    Performance Analyst

    Develops performance measurement frameworks and carries out analysis against these, using the data to influence and update working practice.

    Sport Psychologist

    Works with individual athletes on a one-to-one basis or provides group-based workshops and training sessions to monitor and improve athlete wellbeing and mental health.
